Following pre-treatment of the metal substrate, a liquid-based paint is applied to the coil ensuring homogeneity of the coating film. Polyester, polyurethane and PVDF systems are available according to customer specifications. This coil coating process has been proven to result in optimum colour finish and maximum durability.

F. Lacquered Coated Aluminium Foil for Roofing
Chalco Aluminum Coat’s Lacquered coated aluminium foil is used for production of insulation structures for building(roofs, chimneys, among others). Our product to be used in the production of insulation for roof ridges and edges after combination, provides an excellent barrier for humidity, gas and U.V. light. Chalco Aluminum Coat’s pre-treatment coated aluminium foil is degreasing and chemical pre-treatment of aluminium foil. A. Painted Aluminium Coil for car license plate
Chalco Aluminum Coat produces a range of products specifically designed for this very specialised end-use and has been a leading supplier to this market for many years, in different parts of the world.
The products include materials for embossed plates which demand extreme ductility in the base metal, as well as for the multilayer systems common in parts of Asian.
Typical license plate types:
• Pre-treated aluminium to accept retro-reflective film for subsequent embossing and overprinting.
• White coated material for embossing and overprinting.
• White coated base sheet for embossing and black coated thin gauge sheet for perforating and bonding to the base aluminium in producing a composite plate.
Material specifications
The alloy and temper requirements are related to whether the plate is to be embossed. If this is the case, the material is typically 1050 or 1200 in thicker gauges around 1.0 – 1.2 mm, temper H42
In the laminated license plate, the thinner coated aluminium is typically 3105, 0.30 mm thick.
Chalco Aluminum Coat ’s unique pre-treatment is used prior to the primer and topcoat paint system. The process produces a clean surface with a thin aluminium oxide film. This film is an integral part of the aluminium surface and is flexible due to its porous structure. This pre-treatment prepares the surface for excellent paint adhesion and corrosion resistance of the painted products. The pre-treatment is non-toxic and does not contain any chromium or heavy metal based chemicals and, therefore, underlines Chalco Aluminum Coat’s environmental friendly profile.
The coating is a special formulation with properties unique for this end-use. It must be highly flexible to withstand the drawing which takes place during plate manufacture, resistant to road salt, petrol and diesel, and yet accepts the laminated retro-reflective film with high levels of adhesion. These properties are covered in various national and international standards with which materials must comply.
The presence of a reverse coating has the benefit of assisting fabrication and reducing tool wear, due to its lubricating properties, although no lubricants are normally present. It also acts as a protector to the front coating, reducing the risk of pressure and metal marking.

The pre-treatment is non-toxic and does not contain any chromium or heavy metal based chemicals and, therefore, underlines Chalco Aluminum Coat’s environmental friendly profile. The front side coating used is normally high gloss. The reverse side coating is normally a clear lacquer which has been designed for use with the types of adhesive used in bonding caravan sides. In these cases care should be taken to ensure that the Chalco Aluminum Coat lacquer is compatible with the specific adhesive to be used in practice. Samples can normally be provided for these evaluations. The reverse coating is equally a protector to the front coating, reducing the risk of pressure and metal marking, and acting as a lubricant in the forming process. Stucco embossing is available on request.

Normal hydrophilic aluminum foil coated in blue color, this lacquered aluminium foil makes the condensated water drop to become a layer avoiding the feasibility of ice bridges. It allows to produce smaller equipment.
High corrosion of hydrophilic aluminium foil coated in golden color, is an excellent solution of coating against corrosion of the fin. Expoxy resins based on highly specific to this application, provides the desired protection in a wide range of colours.

The process produces a clean surface with a thin aluminium oxide film. This film is an integral part of the aluminium surface and is flexible due to its porous structure. This pre-treatment prepares the surface for excellent paint adhesion and corrosion resistance of the painted products. B. NAMO PVDF Coated Aluminium Coil Sheet
Essentially, Chalco Aluminum coat’s NAMO PVDF consists of a titanium dioxide layer that is applied to the painted aluminium using a coil-coating process. Under the incidence of sunlight, the light-sensitive titanium dioxide acts as a catalyst, even in conditions of low humidity. On the surface, the electrons released by the UV light from oxygen radicals, and these in turn break down the smog molecules into their larmless consitituents.
Smog consists of various nitrogen compounds, generally designated by the abbreviation NO. Nitrogen oxide does not just dirty buildings, it also pollutes the air we breathe. On cladding that is coated with Chalco Aluminum COAT’S NAMO, the nitrogen oxide molecules are attacked by the free oxygen radicals and broken down into harmless reaction products such as water and nitrates.

The coating is a special formulation with properties unique for this end-use. It must be highly flexible to withstand the drawing which takes place during plate manufacture, resistant to road salt, petrol and diesel, and yet accepts the laminated retro-reflective film with high levels of adhesion. Material specification
The alloy used for caravan sheet is commonly in the 3000-series, mainly in the 3003 and 3105 range. Temper is selected to satisfy the roll forming, folding and other fabricating requirements associated with caravan construction, mainly in H44 temper,, and thickness normally ranges from 0.8mm upto 1.5mm, normally 1.0mm.

Chalco Aluminum Coat ’s unique pre-treatment is used prior to the primer and topcoat paint system. The pre-treatment is an alternating current anodizing in sulphuric acid electrolyte. The process produces a clean surface with a thin aluminium oxide film. This film is an integral part of the aluminium surface and is flexible due to its porous structure. This pre-treatment prepares the surface for excellent paint adhesion and corrosion resistance of the painted products. The pre-treatment is non-toxic and does not contain any chromium or heavy metal based chemicals and, therefore, underlines Chalco Aluminum Coat’s environmental friendly profile. The front side coating used is normally high gloss. The reverse side coating is normally a clear lacquer which has been designed for use with the types of adhesive used in bonding caravan sides. In these cases care should be taken to ensure that the Chalco Aluminum Coat lacquer is compatible with the specific adhesive to be used in practice. Samples can normally be provided for these evaluations. The reverse coating is equally a protector to the front coating, reducing the risk of pressure and metal marking, and acting as a lubricant in the forming process. When producing lacquer-coated strip for raffstores and Venetian blind, Chalco Aluminum Coat combines the right alloy with the coating system ideally suited to outdoor applications. In this way, we easily meet the exacting requirements with regard to weather ability and durability. Our coated Aluminium strip for raffstores and and Venetian blind is not only resistant to corrosion and abrasion but is also colourfast. It is an optically attractive product with a perfect surface finish.

B. NAMO PVDF Coated Aluminium Coil Sheet
Essentially, Chalco Aluminum coat’s NAMO PVDF consists of a titanium dioxide layer that is applied to the painted aluminium using a coil-coating process. Under the incidence of sunlight, the light-sensitive titanium dioxide acts as a catalyst, even in conditions of low humidity. On the surface, the electrons released by the UV light from oxygen radicals, and these in turn break down the smog molecules into their larmless consitituents.
Smog consists of various nitrogen compounds, generally designated by the abbreviation NO. Nitrogen oxide does not just dirty buildings, it also pollutes the air we breathe. On cladding that is coated with Chalco Aluminum COAT’S NAMO, the nitrogen oxide molecules are attacked by the free oxygen radicals and broken down into harmless reaction products such as water and nitrates.
Coming with hydrophobic and lipophobic surface, the NAMO PVDF coated aluminium coils sheets features good water and dirt resistance. The protected object stays clean much longer and can be easily cleaned with pure water.
